Multimethod Assessment

Before offering any intervention, we always offer a multi-method psychological assessment in collaboration with the client and his or her family in order to clarify the presenting difficulties and to better set therapeutic goals.

Our multi-method assessment approach is a clinical assessment model unique in Switzerland that emphasises the importance of gathering information from a variety of sources taking into account contextual factors, using a range of methods such as interviews, observations and tests.

Our specialist assessments

ADHD

We offer ADHD assessments for children aged 4 and over, and adolescents. The diagnosis of ADHD is based on precise criteria and requires a detailed assessment. Our team determines whether the symptoms correspond to those of ADHD, whether they are significant enough to warrant a diagnosis, and ensures that there is no other pathology that better explains these symptoms. The aim is to establish an accurate and reliable diagnosis so that we can offer appropriate treatment.

Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Our assessments of autism spectrum disorders are based on the latest psychological research. We use scientifically validated tests to ensure accuracy and reliability of diagnosis. Cogmed is a computer-based cognitive training programme that has been scientifically validated to improve working memory and attention in children, teenagers and adults. Developed by neuroscientists, Cogmed uses adaptive exercises that automatically adjust to the user’s performance level, ensuring optimal training. Numerous studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in improving cognitive abilities, with observable benefits in terms of performance at school and in everyday life. Particularly beneficial for people with ADHD, Cogmed is recommended as an effective complementary intervention to strengthen executive functions.

PIFAM

PiFam (Programme d’Intervention sur les Fonctions Attentionnelles et Métacognitives) is a scientifically validated therapeutic tool designed to strengthen the attentional and metacognitive abilities of children and adolescents. Based on neuropsychology, this programme offers structured, tailored exercises that target various types of attention and metacognitive strategies. Studies have shown its effectiveness in improving attention, working memory and self-regulation. The PiFam is particularly recommended for young people with attention problems or learning difficulties, offering a targeted approach to developing their essential cognitive skills.
